Well, my plans on seeing my friends at TCEP were... well, derailed.
Over the past few weeks at work a virus had been making its way through everyone. I saw it coming and did everything I could to avoid it, but obviously I failed. I spent the last few days completely out of it due to the illness and/or the meds, which knocked me out more thoroughly than any alcoholic mixture could.
Extremely frustrating and annoying. I thought about going anyway (I mean, even half-drugged I could probably do semi-well in a few easy games), but I really didn't want to spread these germs to everyone. I did't think it would be appreciated!
I'm still a bit woozy (and no comments about this is my normal state, please), but I hope to be up and about tomorrow. Maybe later today.
In any case, sorry to have missed the Con!

... or I could if I needed to. I'm excited: our yearly Disney trip will be on the cruise, not at the 'World. In preparation, I went through the tedious but necessary process of obtaining a passport. This I have now, so I could flee the country legally. Picture doesn't look too bad.
On another front, I haven't been in LoTR Online as I cannot get a steady connection. I have to bring down my virus/firewall in order to get in, not something I enjoy all that much, and even when I'm logged in it seems more laggy than before. Oh, well. I admit I like WoW just slightly more, so I've been playing there. Perhaps I'll give LoTR another try in a while.
How is everyone else doing? I know ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) daehith talked about running a game a while back, which I'm still interested in. :>

Hello!
Today I ran into byronczimmer and principia_coh at my local Best Buy store. It was great to see them again, and it got me to thinking that I've not been good at keeping in touch.
Sorry about that: when life is just cruising along I tend to get lazy, and my natural shyness kicks in, and I tend not to reach out, either electronically or just by phone. The Universe knows I rarely post here, and I hope to change that... as much as I can, anyway. I'll take small steps.
I've recently had problems with getting into LOTR. Something happened - some type of patch came along that suddenly made it unable to load with my virus/firewall protection running. Up until recently it worked fine, but now it doesn't. I have to turn it off to play. That's unsettling, and I think I might play around with other protections to see if any of them work. Anyway, that's why I haven't been in the game for a while. Also, my friend came out to see me a few weeks ago (and I went down to Dallas, TX), and that's another reason I was gone from the computer.
But I'm back and settled. And I hope to get back into the game.
And lastly... friends, please keep me in the loop for any gaming gatherings you might be contemplating. I would very much like to join you!
daehith , are you still planning on running your new game?

Hello! Just wanted to note I am back from vacation. Had a pretty good time down at Disney World... did the parks and probably ate a bit too much, but that's about par for the course.
Just wanted to ask Byron and Prin: are you going off to Neko this coming weekend, and if so, is there is room for me? And if so, how much is my share?

Good evening all!
I just wanted to say I had a great time the two days I could be at the 'Con over this weekend. On Sunday, an old friend called me (he lives outside the area), and he was here only for the weekend so I had to give up the day in order to chat and catch up with him. Sorry I couldn't be at the fun and games that day. :)
But I would like to thank and to say "well done!" to byronczimmer, principia_coh, and daehith for their time and trouble of putting together a great Con suite. I think, at least at one point, there were more people in the suite than I've ever seen before! Well done.

Since things get buried on LJ, I thought I'd copy the last message I wrote in the "Old Dominion Beer" thread.
Cptgreedle - when are you available after tomorrow? You said afternoon, but not sure of the time.
I suggest, since 2pm seems to be the earliest b. and p. are available, we wait out the morning and see how the weather goes. If things look bad, we may want to give it a shot on Sunday. If things look okay, we could try Saturday evening.
What say everyone?

Thought I'd toss out a few things and see if they stick.
First, anyone interested/available to do anything this weekend? Maybe get together for a movie, gaming, walking around somewhere, whatever.
Also, I was thinking about starting up a live game again. I know you guys have the DnD Online Sunday nights, so I don't know if more of that would be overload, but there are plenty of other systems out there. But first I thought I'd toss this out to see if anyone shows interest first. Thoughts?
